Description: This calculator estimates emissions from the electricity you purchase from a utility provider.
How to Use:
- Locate Electricity Usage – Use your electricity bills or meter records to determine the total electricity (in kilowatt-hours, kWh) used over the assessment period.
- Input Electricity Data – Enter the total kWh for the period you’re analyzing.
- Select Location – Choose your location or country, as the emissions factor varies by electricity grid.
- Calculate – Click “Calculate Emissions” to see your Scope 2 emissions from electricity consumption.
Example:
If your office consumed 2,000 kWh of electricity in one month, input “2,000” and select your country. The calculator will calculate the CO₂ equivalent based on your region’s electricity grid emissions.
